On August 18, PLAYISM announced the Steam game “Card Make Arena,” developed by independent game developer Lizardry, and began recruiting test players for its closed beta.

“Card Make Arena” is a card game where you create your own cards and compete. You can freely customize effects, costs, activation conditions, names, and illustrations to create your own original cards.

To enable ‘original cards ×PvP,’ it’s not just about making unlimited top-tier cards; instead, systems such as higher costs for stronger cards and bonuses for lower deck costs compared to opponents are incorporated, making it a puzzle aspect of how to design within a limited budget.

Additionally, PvP will feature rating matches where you can earn RANK points, as well as room matches where you can play with friends.

Additionally, ahead of the release, recruitment for closed beta tests has begun. The application period ends at 23:59 on August 25, so if you’re interested, be sure to apply early. Note that a Discord account is required for the closed beta test.
