On October 20, Shueisha Games began streaming the demo version of “Season of Books and Keys” to coincide with the ongoing Steam Next Festival.

This game is a drama-like adventure game based on Honobu Yonezawa’s novel “The Season of Books and Keys.”
Jiro Horikawa, a male high school duo and library committee members, and Shimon Matsukura take on the mysteries brought into their daily lives.
The game features illustrations and full voice acting for the original novel’s story, and includes scenes where players actually solve mysteries as Jiro Horikawa, allowing players to immerse themselves in the story.

In the demo, you can play Chapter 1, ‘913,’ in its entirety. While Horikawa and Matsukura spend their time in the after-school library, their senior Mari Urakami visits and takes on a quest to open the ‘unopened safe’ left by their late grandfather.

Currently, the demo is only available on Steam, but it is also planned for release on Switch, with the Switch store page scheduled for release soon.
