日本eスポーツ協会は1月12日、「日本eスポーツアワード2025」の表彰式典を開催した。 「日本eスポーツアワード」は、ファンによる推薦・投票をもとに、その年の日本国内eスポーツ界における功績と貢献を称える年に一度の祭典。 表彰式では全15部門の受賞者が発表され、その年のMVPである「年間最優秀eスポーツプレイヤー賞」は、格闘ゲームプレイヤーのGO1選手（DetonatioN FocusMe所属）が受賞。「餓狼伝説 City of the Wolves」や「ストリートファイター6」など複数のタイトルで好成績を収めた実績が評価され、審査委員会満場一致で今回の受賞に至ったという。 日本eスポーツアワード2025

任天堂は1月9日、Nintendo Switch 2向けサービス「ニンテンドー ゲームキューブ Nintendo Classics」にて、「ファイアーエムブレム 蒼炎の軌跡」の配信を開始した。 「ファイアーエムブレム 蒼炎の軌跡」は、2005年にニンテンドー ゲームキューブで発売されたシミュレーションRPG。 奥義「天空」の使い手として「大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズ」シリーズでもおなじみのアイクが主人公となり、武器と英知をもって戦う種族「ベオク」のひとりとして、戦乱に身を投じていく。 本作は「戦闘で倒れたユニットは復活しない」というシビアなバトルシステムはそのままに、3Dマップやフルボイスムービーが追加された作品となっている。
