TGDF ‘Taipei Game Developer Forum’ to be held on July 15th and 16th! There are also many Japan-related sessions, such as ‘SILENT HILL f’ and ‘Toei Games’.

Taiwan’s largest game development conference, the Taipei Game Developers Forum (TGDF), will be held from July 15 to 16 at the Taipei Cultural and Creative Building. TGDF is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year and is attracting much attention, with various gaming professionals from Japan also expected to participate.

According to the official TGDF press release, this year’s TGDF theme covers a wide range of topics, including program development, game design, art/visuals, narrative, business marketing, music and sound, and even cutting-edge AI practical applications. Through the exchange of experiences in every aspect, We aim to enable developers to make a significant leap forward in creativity, technology, and market development.’

Scheduled sessions (partial)

Mike Fischer, who has held key positions at Epic Games and Square Enix America, shares his book “A Business Success Guide for Game Creators,” discussing how creators overcome business barriers.

Li Jianyuan, Senior Producer at NeoBards Entertainment, will showcase the development techniques for ‘SILENT HILL f,’ which achieved worldwide acclaim and sales of one million units in 2025, and reveal how the Taiwanese team practiced international collaboration within a high-standard project.

Keigo Yamouchi, a platform engineer at Pocket Pair, shares hands-on experience with migrating Palworld’s multiplayer servers to Amazon GameLift.

In a rare event, Hiroaki Nagashima, manager from Toei Games, will give a lecture titled ‘Toei Games’ Business Strategy, discussing the future direction of the game business from Toei’s perspective and collaboration between the Japanese and Taiwanese game industries.

Core members from SIGONO, who released ‘OPUS: Xin Xiang Wu Shan’ from Taiwan, Red Candle Games, and Samurai Games will also take the stage to share insights on the latest game projects.
